Pixel conversion

I am trying to add subtitles at the exact position as the existing subtitles on a DVD. In my subtitle program i set the same offsets as I found by taking the screenshot from nero showtime, it seems fine when i play it on pc but on tv the existing subtitles and the new ones are not aligned. I assume it has something to do with D1 and VGA pixel ratios, how would i be able to solve this problem?

Have you tried subtitle creator, which allow you to see what you're doing?

Subtitle creator does not create subtitles in the same stlye and appearance i would like them to be, so i would prefer doing the conversion if it was possible.
