I have an orignal ac3 file seprated into six waves usign bsweet, which are then edited into vegas, now when i re-encode into ac3, there is a great diffrence between the orignal and the final ac3. My questions are:
Is there any utility that will allow me to analyze an ac3 file so i can know the normalization and the type compression used when it was encoded? My guess is tht if i use those values in vegas, i might get a better ac3 which would ressemble the original. If there is no such utility, are there any alternatives?
And is there a better way to preserve 'orginality' when converting 5.1 ac3 to 6 waves in besweet by playing around with some settings?
Note: it is not a hollywood movie, -31db is not the "true" normalization value.
Thank you all again.
