Ifoedit/Vobedit issues

Hi. I'm new to using Vobedit and Ifoedit, and was wondering if anybody could answer some questions for me. My first issue has to do with subtitles. I ripped a DVD with DVD Shrink, keeping only the subtitles for alien languages. when I burn the DVD like normal, the subtitles appear fine. They are white, normal size and appear completely below the picture. If I try to re-author the DVD, combine the scenes with Vobedit, create the ifo with Ifoedit, and then burn my dvd, then the subtitles become extra large, black or green, and slightly overlap the picture. Is there a way to correct this?

My second issue is, I ripped a couple of DVDs and wanted to combine a couple of scenes from each one onto a single DVD. I also wanted to use only the 2-channel audio stream for all of the DVDs to save space. Two of the DVDs had 2-channel audio, while the third only had a 6-channel audio stream, so I went ahead and used the 6-channel for it. When I burned the new DVD, the only scenes that have audio are the ones that were on the 6-channel dvd. The 2-channel audio scenes are completely silent. If I burn the 2-channel or 6-channel audio scenes separately, then they work fine. Is there any way to get them to work together?

After joining clips/flipper with Vobedit, you need to copy over the CLUT, which is the subtitle Colour Lookup Table. Best way to do this is with PgcEdit.

Open original DVD in PgcEdit. Open reauthored project in a second instance of PgcEdit. In the first (original) one, double click on the title and click on copy all (bottom left).

Now go to the second PgcEdit window. Open title. Paste all. Save and close both.

Test in software player.

Re your audio - you need the streams to be the same IDs and attributes. So in the 3rd clip, see if there's a 2 channel one and take that. Re-assign it so the stream IDs are the same in each clip (0x80 say). again, PgcEdit can help. If your 3rd clip doesn't have 2 channel, then transcode it with BeSweet and remux it back in.
