VOB Edit Make m2v shorter than total

Hi all gurus,
a guy has ripped 3 VOBs from a TV transmission with 3 Audio Channels; the 1st ac3 Eng, ac3 Ita, DTS Ita; then 2 nd ac3 Ita, DTS Ita, ac3 End; and the 3rd DTS Ita, ac3 Eng, ac3 Ita. I've tried to demux with VOB Edit, but the m2v files I get are shorter (1h 03') in total than the whole clip (1h 40'), so when I try to remux sync is totally lost. I've tried to extract m2v with DecodeVob, but I get another error, so I ended up with Nero Vision 4, selecting the right audio stream for each VOB file. Is there another, better, way? Actually so I loose other channels' infos. TIA.

When you demux with VobEdit, make sure you demux to a different folder (not even the parent).

Better is PgcDemux, available from the VobBlanker site - see link in my signature.

Why bother demuxing and remuxing? Just strip the streams if you are looking to get rid of certain tracks. VobBlanker is excellent for this (as is any transcoder).

thanks 4 your prompt reply! I'm getting crazy demuxing and remuxing 'cause I'd like to save all 3 audio steams, in correct order, and not just the italian one as I've managed to get with Nero Vision. BTW, so demuxing with VOBEdit in the same folder causes shortening of m2v or other unpredictable results? In fact, m2v's obtained were messy. SYS

unfortunately I haven't .ifo files required both from PGCEdit and VOBBlank; so what else can I do? TIA

Why no IFOs? No matter. Make them.

You need not demux/remux to reorder the streams. Look at this FAQ (after you have created the IFOs):

Again, lot of thanks. However, maybe VOBs are not correctly ripped, as IFOEdit tells "Could not find any VOB unit in VOB file(s)". ???

You got a very bad mux, which is strange for a TV transmission.

Dunno what else to suggest.
