Hello. I was wondering what is a good program that can encode text onto a file that already contains video. Retaining high quality video is mandatory. I currently encode dvd's using the kdvd template in tmpgenc

or if there is a program that can force subtitles (for dvd video) along the bottom of video without having to re-encode. -

DVD Shrink can not mux subtitles in with your vid (it can, however, force the display of existing subbies muxed in the VOB). And TMPGEnc doesn't handle subs, as you have undoubtedly found out.
If you have a compliant subtitle file (in say sup or srt format), then you can mux it in with muxman - see link in my signature.

I now have a program called subtitle creator and vobsub. I can make subtitle files with these. Now I just need them to be muxed with video. Can muxman force the display of these subtitles?Comment

I really would prefer to encode the text right onto the video stream instead of making a subtitle, does anyone know of a good program for that?Comment

Hmmm, DVD ripping programs like DVDx can do this, it then make an AVI file that can be authored back onto a DVD.CYA Later:
