Smooth frame to frame transitions on edited movies?

I was wondering what would be the best program to make a movie which I deleted a few frames out of to stop having that slight pausing at the edited points?
I used DVD Shrink and Nero Recode to re-author the frames out but can't seem to make the transitions from frame to frame a smooth one. On these I'm not concerned about re-inserting the menus because I am able to access the subtitles and audios on the DVD players, but just don't know which program I should try to smoothen out the edited frames.

Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I did a search and came up empty, perhaps I didn't use the correct terminology!?

U need an editing software.I would suggest Ulead Video Studio or Womble MPEG Video Wizard.

I'll look into Ulead.
I was hoping for more suggestions from the other experienced members as well so that I would have more options to help in my decision. But thanks, that's a starting point and maybe it will be exactly what i'm looking for.

Ulead is great! Maybe try Ulead DVD Workshop for DVDs? Just a suggestion, VideoStudio makes you use AVI or MPEG, but that's all I got so it works for me - get a free trial at www.ulead.com

OK, So I have been recommended ULead Video Studio, Ulead DVD Workshop, Womble Wizard, but someone else suggested DVD2One? Any viewpoints as to which is best for what I'm looking to do?

AFAIK DVD2One is for putting multiple DVD titles into 1.It does not have ANy option of transition effects.
