Sonic DVDit Pro v6

I've authored one DVD in Sonic DVDit Pro v6, and I added subtitles to one of three movies on the DVD. That movie transcoded before burning, and is that really necessary just to add subtitles to it, or is there an option for this? It isn't necessary in Ulead DVD Workshop, if the movie is already DVD-compliant.

Also, in Sonic DVDit Pro v6, is there a way to automatically add chapters to a movie every x minutes?

Not sure about Sonic, but to add your subbies and make chapter points wherever you want, use Muxman (see link in my signature). Subbies need to be in either sst or sub format.

Demux first (use PgcDemux - see the VobBlanker site). Though I think muxman can accept VOBs as inout for audio and video now.

To add chapters, just supply muxman a celltimes.txt file (in frames). Every 5 minutes (at PAL) would be every 15,000 frames (25fps x 60 secs/min x 5 mins). So (using 1 line for each chapter) your would have

7500
15000
22500
30000
etc.

For NTSC (if you are in USA/Canada) use 30 as multipler.
