DVD Sub Edit

I just edited a movie using DVD Shrink and ran it thru VOB Edit and then thru IFO Edit and then I ran it thru DVD Sub Edit to adjust the color and transparency of the subtitles as well as to lower it a little lower on the screen. Now everything looked like it went smoothly when I previewed it on WinDVD on my PC, however when I burned it to disc and tried it on my DVD player, the subtitles were too low. Couldn't read the lower lines on most of the subs!

O.K., I just reloaded, the same files I still had on my system that I just created using all those programs, back into DVD Sub Edit and just moved the subs up a bit and saved all like the first time. BUT, when I went to preview the adjusted movie on WinDVD, it wouldn't play, as if something went wrong with the movie file now.!? I can't seem to fix those files now.
I did not want to try and burn those files to disc because I'm not used to making coasters and didn't want to just waste a disc for the sake of the test.

I'm wondering if there is a fix for this without having to start all over again in Shrink or VOB Edit? Thanks and cheers

Couldnt you just rip your original to your hard drive again? and go from there.

what did you do in VobEdit and IfoEdit? Shrink outputs compliant DVD files without the need for these programs.

I deleted a few frames from a movie and was using vboEdit to join the clips for a smooth transition, and then ifoEdit to create new ifo files. Then I was using DVDSubEdit to fix the blurry subtitles that the process caused.

I could just re-do the whole process including the editing but was wondering if there was some way to fix the above mentioned problem.

Ay Karumba. Why don't you just use VobBlanker to cut the frames? It preserves everything, including the CLUT (creating new IFOs is why you got crappy green subbies - no CLUT).

Never knew what vob blanker could do. I'm still learning the editing processes. I'll give it a go> I'll read up on it and learn. Thanks


One question though;
So VobBlanker is able to cut out frames without causing that noticeable delay at the edited points?

Yes. It does not make new titles, but continues with the same title. Ignore any warning about Open/Broken GOPs.
