Everything went through to the final stages but then at the end before getting ready to burn a window came up for every one of the 23 clips saying "the max bitrate to too large for creating a dvd" What does all this mean pleaseeeeee Its all tooo much!!!! Its sending me really crazy

These clips were all just of ntsc movie musical numbers, nothing strange

What am I doing wrong and can anyone help me

It was easy to make these on Shrink but seems impossible for me to sop the long pause between them Im not sure what I do next?

      Thanks for any simple help?

If I had ever joined a mix of NTSC and PAL clips would the problem have been worse? I use both formats here in NZ.

All the domain attributes need to be the same - video (NTSC or PAL but not a mix), resolution, and audio tracks. Or else, you need to author them so they are. That makes seamless playback very difficult.

I dont know Im really stunped with all this

What you could do is this (though I'm not sure the output is worth it).

            1. Ensure all video is the same (e.g 720 x 576 PAL) - if not convert the NTSC to PAL or vice versa - see the guides in Authoring & Editing forum.
            2. Ensure all audio is the same - eg MP2. If not, convert with BeSweeet/BeLite and remux with Muxman.
            3. At this stage you have 23 clips, each with the same video and audio atts.
            4. Mux them together with Muxman.

            That's it.

            Hardly worth the effort IMHO.

OK now I see! Its all really too much effort and cost to stop the pauses between my mixed clips Looks like its time to put it to bed and just say Im defeated I guess OH well Im still open to any other comments if anyone has anything else to add here?

ge I cant believe that all this is so complex just to remove a pause???

The 23 clips all run through perfectly but I just have a 3/4 sec pause after each one! When your a bit of a perfectionist this like that really BUG ME

blutach is right, you have to re-encode/process all 23 files to get the same resolutions and audio. if they are short clips it wouldn't take that long, but seems like a lot of work to me anyway

Thank god I never bought any of those prog's which were sugested on here then I really would have been very low indeed

The clips range in length from approx 2mins to 12mins, with a total time of 85mins. well looks like I have to live with the pauses between the clips

it's up to you and the time you are willing to put into it. i could complete the project in a night, but then again doing things like this is rather mundane for me...best of luck to you

Rapallo and I have been PM-ing each other and he got the 23 clips to join together into one title and got rid of the long pauses using VOBEdit and IFOEdit, but on 2 of the clips the audio has to be changed manually with the Remote Control. He states that the 2 clips were from a 1963 movie that had the following audios - AC3/5EN, AC3/3EN, AC3/3EN. He said that the other 21 clips that joined correctly were 4.1 and 5.1 audios.

I'm at a loss as to how to proceed from here. Anyone got solutions? Otherwise he might have to just settle for how far he's gotten or just re-burn the 21 clips instead.

Thanks for adding this thread MikeyB. Yes I would like someone to answer this question if they know what do do to get the other 2 clips audio working like the others! If i could understand whats going on here i could then proceed to start joining other favourite clips on Pal. All that i join need to be a combination of different types of audio tracks

Would that be with the BeSweet and BeLite as you mentioned on a previous post even if all the audios are AC3? I'm trying to help Rapallo finish his project but have never attempted changing audio attributes AC3 to AC3, So it would be a learning curve for me as well.

MikeyBK I not sure what bluetac means but remember the audio I used for those 2 clips did match some of the other 4channel audio's. Also we then tried it with the 3channel audio and still it did not work?

When I make more of these in the future this way is it better that I select the same type audio for every clip?

When you use vobedit etc does it not like receiving a mix of different audio's?

                                Rapallo,
I PM-ed you in regards to another method I thought of to merge your clips using NeroVisionExpress3's 'transition effects'. This might create a video without the pauses because you'll have a transition effect like 'fading in/ fading out' in place of those pauses and it won't alter your audios because you won't be changing the clips into a single title.

Cynthia actually suggested this method in the first part of this thread, but if the 'effects' are inserted, you'll get rid of those pauses.

The details are in the PM. It's worth a try.
