Normally when I play commercial DVDs in my DVD player, the picture appears at the correct size automatically ie 4:3 or 16:9 etc.
However, recently I shot some camcorder footage in 16:9 widescreen mode and transferred this to DVD via a standalone DVD recorder. When viewing it on my TV, it defaults incorrectly to 4:3 size, and I have to use the TV remote to set it to 16:9.
Is there any way to get this DVD to play automatically at 16:9 without having to manually set it via the remote each time? Maybe it's not authored correctly?
Thanks in advance for any advice/help.
