Problem in writing captured video to DVD

    Hi all
    I;m a novice in the field of dvd encoding etc<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o> </o>
I’ve a problem in converting a video file captured to dvd
I've captured trip video frm Sony Handycam using fire wire
in high quality wmv format using windows movie maker
and i edited it using the same
did some editing like trimming, adding text, adding effects, added some music, etc
and i saved the project using save as movie option in wmv itself, almost 1 hr movie
the end file is 3gb file!!!!!!!!
then i burned it to a DVD+RW, using Nero 6 in dvd format
and when i played in the player, the clarity what i'm getting is not of dvd quality
the clarity which i get when played frm handycam directly is better than this one

    My questions are :
what cud be the reason of such a big file?? is it problem of capturing or due to editing??
if editing, i've another dvd which have almost 2 hr function with musci etc edited by a professional
in my case 2 hr movie wont fit into a 4.7 gb dvd
is it problem in writing dvd??
how i can imporve the clarity of movie???
which progrm is best for doing editing like adding music, adding effects etc???

hope i will get an answer

    regs

Ulead Video Studio or Cyberlink Power Director or Womble MPEG Video Wizard.Capture as DV AVI using WinDV.Ur captured file will be about 12GB per hour. So,dedicate a separate drive or partition(at least 20GB)for video. When u finally produce the DVD,select the target size in ur editor.Even if it goes beyond the 4.7GB mark u can always use DVD Shrink to bring down the size.
