Add Title button in IfoEdit (DVD Author) greyed out - old question, no answer!

    Hi there,

why is "Add Title" in the DVD Author function of my IfoEdit (0.96, 0.971) greyed out and not functioning?

I did search this and other forums and the web and I found this particular question several times spread over the past couple of years, but very frustrating, no reliable answer. Some say "Add title" is enabled in some beta versions only because it's not yet functioning correctly, some say you have to pay for an "Add Title enabled" version. But the least information about that is on IfoEdit's homepage or any FAQ, so I don't know if it's true.

I don't think it was ever implemented in IfoEdit. DvdReMake Pro can do it.

Strangely however, I did find howto-guides where the use of "add title" in IfoEdit was described, and even screenshots with a clearly enabled add title button.

DVDReMake Pro cannot create new DVDs from M2V/MP2/AC3-Files (DVB recordings), just "remake" existing DVDs. [AFAIK]

The famous DVDlab Pro can do it perfectly and easily, but my trial period is long over and I can't afford to buy it. I think I will try out "GUI for dvdauthor" now, but still I'd prefer a completely pure and simple program like IfoEdit.

You are right. One can edit authored disk with DvdReMake Pro but it does not multiplex streams. You can use MuxMan for this: http://www.dimadsoft.com/dvdremakepr...or_dvd_vob.php
