i recently got a bunch of old, used dvds. some of them skip and/or freeze when playing, (but the price was right if only one or 2 were good). is there any point in trying to back up the damaged ones?
if i can decrypt them, will i be able to ‘fix’ them? i am wondering if it is just the dvd surface that is the problem and that if i can get the data off, things can proceed as usual.
this is new territory for me, as i have never tried to backup something that wouldn’t play right, so if someone can direct me toward reading on this i would appreciate it. or should i just be grateful for the ones that do play?
