authoring 2 menus in DVDLab Pro

    Hi

i am trying to author a dvd with 2 menus in DVDLab Pro but after authoring i cant access the other menu 2.

My dvd session consists of the following files:
    2 menu pictures
2 menu sounds (Menu 1 and Menu 2)
    2 videos NTSC full D1

The logical connection structure looks like this:
    root/PLAY ----IMENU1/VIDEO 1(->root)-------IMENU 2/VIDEO 2(->root)

I´ve set up a NTSC NORMAL VTS (Menu + Movie) project cause the video material is of same resolution.Logically connected VIDEO 1 with VIDEO 2 and compiled.

It would be expected MENU 1 to be displayed first and skipping to MENU 2 should be possible. How can i accomplish this?

    Any help is appreciated

    thanks
    Diego

Add a command object in the VMG Domain.

Link the end of a movie to that object and then from that object to next menu.

      Hi FallenAngel

sorry for late response & thanks so much for your help!I set up everything you said but somehow the second menu is "red-crossed" and i cant link to it.

My authoring project looks something like this in the mom.:
VMG Menu 1 (empty) ->VTS Menu 1 (ROOT) -VIDEO 1-
      VTS Menu 2 -VIDEO 2-
Menu 1 is linked to VIDEO 1.Linking from end of VIDEO 1 to "VM command object" works fine but connecting from this to VTS Menu 2 ends in "Menu timeout".

What could be the problem here?

      best regards
      Diego

To many possibilities -- I'm really not a fan of LabPro Command objects (Others have done what you are trying to do - sometimes works)

This is sometimes the problem when you don't have a clear VMG menu as a switcher between VTS root menus -I hit it in Lab-Pro myself and just designed a vmg menu (Which is actually the proper way) to get around it.

Then If you want to jump directly from tail of movie 1 to start of Vts root menu 2.
You have a clear pgc (to edit Al la Pgcedit) as a target in your Vmg (from tail of Vts 1 movie) -- Then jump to the root of Vts 2 according to a set/unset gprm (Set at tail of Vts 1 Movie)

Aside from that all I can suggest is to post your question at mmbforum -- I don't even have LabPro anymore

          Hi Angel,

i solved the problem now with a simple menu session (VTS).After hours of trying i couldnt get the command object thing to work .

One -the root menu- contains two links to the other main video menus.I have seen such thing while watching a rental movie last night and there was a language selection option menu infront of the main video menu.

          thanks again for superb helping

          greets
          Diego

Yes thats the best way KISS

PS. I hope you are selecting audio througn a VTS menu not the VMG -- selecting audio/subs in VMG option will work until you hit different audio streams for each movie

            Glad to be of Help
