.vob DD trailers from CD on DVD player?

    Hi People!

Just wondered if anybody could give me some adivce. I have a load of Dolby digital and THX trailers that I want to but on to a CD and play on a DVD player. Is this possible and if so, is there any free software for making basic DVD menus to select which .vob file to play? My DVD player can read CDRs.

    Thanks

    Gary

Assumming that you have VOB trailers, you will need to look into transcoding them into a format that is recognized from CD such as AVI. This is a big topic and there is lots of information on it. Try the guides here at http://www.digital-digest.com/dvd/articles/index.html or www.doom9.org or www.vcdhelp.com

I could transcode them into DivX AVI files but then they wouldn't play on my surround sound system through my DVD player. I need to be able to play them on my DVD player and not just my computer. I didn't think that a DVD player recognised and AVI file? Just .mpg and DVD files?

Basically I want to make a DVD style menu on a CD and have the DVD player treat it like a DVD video.

Let me know if I am wrong and a DVD player can play some kind of AVI file but I don't think it can??

          Cheers.

i tried it with ulead movie factory with dvdit but both programs said taht the file format is wrong to burn a dvd (they need m2v files for this)

than i tried it vith the progs vobedit and ifoedit and i could burn a cd that is started by my dvd-player (software) without opening the vob files manual.

but i haven't got more than 1 file playing cause u need different vob-id's for this but i don't know how to change them

it's not real good english but i try my best *G*
