made a dvd, need to add menu...

hiya guys, forgive me for asking obvious questions but i'm a total n00b and don't even understand which guide on the forum i should look at to get the answer...
the thing is, i made a dvd from avi files using dvdSanta... it has chapters and everything but no menu... so when i insert the disk it begins playing w/out me being able to choose what to play.
i tried using dvdRemakePro but couldn't add menu's anyway... i tried using this other guide i found over at some other forum but it was talking about editing the menu... MY dvd doesn't have any menu's to start with so i couldn't do that. can anyone plz explain to me if dvdRemakePro can do the job and explain or at least point me in the right direction...
