Thanks Blu, Your going to get a kick out of this .Iwent to burn and the Video_TSfolder was only 4.35 gb. I thought to myself what it said it was a 2 layer movie, here what i did was use shrink and backed up full disk not thinking it was going to shrink it to a single layer Do' h! LOL dont tell anyone .
Sorry about the mix up, used shrink the first time out of habbit i guess Got it right the second time ,its playing Thanks for the helpMy first dual layer.
1. Take your burn speed down to 2.4X. Max will make lotsa DL coasters (in this case, it didn't matter cos the medai was only rated 2.4x)
2. Chuck out the cheap Ritek D-01s and get expensive Verbatim MKM-001s. They never fail. I know it's tempting to get cheaper DL media, but it's a fool's economy.
Thanks for the tips Blu, i got a little lost when it came to setting the layer break, I have to find some good reading to find out what all the technical stuff means, im still not sure what cell ,pgc's vob ttn,and V/cid to name a few, I need to find out what they mean, Im a little embarresed to admit that.I seen a line that was blue so i just hit ok.
One more thing the settings i ticked in pgcedit for burning a dual layer disk , should i change any of them back when i go to use the wizard or the plugin for creating a psl file for dvdd?
Don't be afraid by the number of possibilities when selecting the layer break position. The more candidates, the more easy it is to find a good cell.
Anyway, PgcEdit tries to locate the best candidate for you, based on this technical stuff. Most of the time, you can accept the default selection.
If you really want to change the layer break position, use the preview, and try to select a cell that starts at a position where the layer break should be less noticeable.
Remember that the last image of the last cell played just before the layer break is shown during the pause. Therefore, it's the end of the previous cell that matters.
A coloured line is theoretically a good candidate, but it is impossible for PgcEdit to analyse the psychological impact of the pause. The choice of the LB position is essentially a matter of taste! (BTW, it's for this reason that PgcEdit shows you this layer break selection dialog. Nero, for example, imposes its own position, producing often a very noticeable break.)
And, yes, there is also this "Seamless Layer Break" option. If your player supports it, you will never see the pause! But verify if it is compatible with your player!
Thanks for the info rOIZ, im going to do some reading and try to learn some of the basics , terminology. With the giudes and the great help here its pretty easy to get the programs to do what you want, i need to learn alot more, pgcedit seems like a good place to start, i was trying to decide either pgcedit or vob blanker, pgcedit it is.Thanks, now all i need to do is find the time lol. I know i wont learn over night, little by little.,
