When you right-click these registry files and open them with notepad and here what they tell you:
1- Remove_VobBlanker_WindowCoordinates:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
#
# This file cleans the registry deleting the keys used by VobBlanker
# to store the window coordinates. In some cases the window coordinates
# can be corrupted and VobBlanker does not open correctly.
#
[-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\jsoto's tools\VobBlanker\WindowCoordinates]
2- Remove_VobBlanker_settings:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
#
# This file cleans the registry deleting all the keys used by VobBlanker
# Not really needed.....
#
[-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\jsoto's tools\VobBlanker]
The registry file you double-clicked probably the one that said "Remove_VobBlanker_WindowCoordinates" and it restored or fixed the corrupted windows coordinates which forced VobBlanker to open incorrectly

LOLOLOL mill. You have been tinkering for days
System restore might help you. Or delete the VobBlanker key in the registry and start again.

I reckon DVDSubEdit is one of the coolest pieces of work I have seen. Quite amazing really.

CoNS wrote a great, easy to understand guide. I have found the OCR engine makes the odd error or two, but overall, it is a really fantastic product.
