VobBlanker timemap problem when cutting

Has this been identified and in the fix list for the next release?

In short, cutting out Intro and Outros of a main title with VB causes brief pauses in the replay of the movie in the beginning on the set top (using good media of course: Taiyo Yuden and/or Verbatim's).

Using PgcEdit 7.3 to remap PGC has no effect. And there isn't alot of info on how to do this with muxman (albeit I haven't done an exaustive search but I'm not really gung ho on using muxman since development seems to want money and I'm thinking you've got a pay to play - which is fine - just not what I'm looking for in a solution).

Are they're other tools (preferably freeware) besides VB that'll allow cutting and modify timemap properly?

Yes, it has been identified and jsoto knows all about it.

PgcEdit rebuild of the time map fixes it perfectly, however.

The brief pauses are undoubtedly the result of the STC discont flag being set and the cell being marked as non-seamless (which it may not need to be).

Muxman also a free version which is perfect for your needs if you want to remux.

1. Demux the title (vid, audio and subs, including celltimes.txt) with PGCdemux - see the VobBlanker site for this free utility
2. Remux with muxman - use celltimes.txt to import your chapter points (File → Import Chapter → select celltimes.txt).

The mux will be perfect and the seamless flags will be reset.

Finally got around to chasing this one down. And yes; it appears using Pgc to rebuild the VTS timemap of the main title AFTER cutting w/VobBlanker does the job nicely.

Welcome. Actually, you can do it yourself. There's only 2 bytes that are wrong. So if you know the length of the movie (of course you do), the timemap number of seconds per entry (yep), you can calc the number of entries and the end byte of the table (which is the incorrect number).
