problem compacting three 8cmDVDs(1.4gb) to one DVD-5(4.7)gb - VIDEO DVD -

first of all i would like to say hello, this being my first post
now to business:
i have three 8cmDVD's 1.4gb each recorded in a panasonic digital video camera.
i want to have a normal 4.7 DVD video at the end, containing whatever those 3 "mini-dvds" have and i also want it to play on normal DVD players (as in hardware dvd players not software). the minidvds have about 30 minutes of playback so i figured they should fit on a 120 minute dvd.
i've tried several programs including what nero has to offer and wasn't quite able to figure it out.. how do i make all those three into one-full-start-to-end movie..

NOTE: each of the three minidvds have only VIDEO_TS dir however the sound is also recorded.. (i'm no dvd expert, this just seemed worthy of mentioning)

The easiest thing to do for joining the three mini-dvds is a) rip them on hard disc using dvd decrypter in file mode b) join them using dvd shrink.
Perhaps you should read the dvd shrink guide for merging episodes. A small disadvantage is that with this method you don't have any menus on the dvd.
If you want menus, you can do it with dvd remake pro, or by using title writer for dvd shrink. I haven't tried doing with menus yet, so I can't tell you more on that.
