Replacing ORIG menu background with modified one

Hi

Hope it's ok to ask this ...

I stripped out unwanted SUBS/AUDIO streams from a DVD.

Now I want to replace the Set-Up/Languages menu background with one that I modified (with Paint Shop Pro) to account for the STRIPPED items I removed. It's a .BMP file obviously.

What's the easiest/quickest way to do this? I prefer to use something like PGCEDIT or VOBBLANKER.

If these are not enough, I assume I need other progs like MUXMAN, IFOEDIT, PGCEDMUX, DVDREMAKE among others.

So guys... what's the best way to do this?

Or, if you have a BMP, you can use VobBlanker to replace the background.

Follow this guide. When you get to the following screen, select file and browse to your BMP.



There is a one-time setup of your temp directory and path to muxman.

I've seen the page above but I still don't get it.

It starts of with a disclaimer, then:
-One Still
-Cell Stilling
-Menu Processing Only Tip

Maybe it's my EYE SIGHT! I dunno ...

The original Set-Up menu on my DVD is not animated but got music playing in the background (looped).

The revised Set-Up menu I made is still a .BMP file at the moment. Haven't use MUXMAN or PGCDEMUX yet.

I want to replace the ORI menu with MODIFIED menu and retain that background music.

Ignore the disclaimer.

Look under the Cell Stilling section of that guide. Then follow my directions above.

VobBlanker calls muxman in the background for you. You don't even know you are using it.

Configure the path to it (and your temp folder) in VobBlanker's Tools menu. That's all.

It certainly works. But you gotta select "File" when you get to the screen in my earlier post and then browse to your BMP. After that, just follow the prompts.

Additional here is a step-by-step guide:

1. Start VobBlanker.
2. Only these check boxes should be checked: "Use Input Folder" and "Process Menus".
3. In the tools menu, the path to MuxMan have to be specified.
4. Open your DVD.
5. Select the correct VTS of your menu.
6. Click the "Menu" button.
7. Select the correct LU of your menu.
8. Select the correct PGC of your menu.
9. Click the "Cells" button.
10. Select the correct cell of your menu.
11. Click the "Still" button.
12. Click the "BMP" button. -> Now you can save the menu background as picture.
13. Edit the BMP with a graphic program.
14. In the I-Frame selection box (VobBlanker is still running...) select "File".
15. If you load your modified background image, you should see it now.
16. Check "Keep audio".
17. Click the "OK" button.
18. Click the "Apply" button.
19. Click the "OK" button.
20. The "Action" of the correct VTS should be "Process" all other should be "Skip". If not, change it with the related buttons.
21. Click the "PROCESS!!" button.
22. Done.

Its easy. Isn't it?
