How to get movie to return to main menu when it finishes?

Hi,
I have a DVD (with a single title) that when it finishes playing, it just freezes on the last frame and doesn't return to the main menu.
Is there any easy way to get it to return to the main menu? (perhaps edit it or something?).

How did you capture the main movie??

If this is a movie only rip, then my suggestion is after Shrinking the movie, open the movie folder in PgcEdit.

Open plugins and select the Shrink plugin then select DVD Shrink remote buttons. Select all and the unselect the last choice unless you want the movie to loop. Then save it and then burn it with the appropriate software. This will give you the commands to send it back to the menu.


If this is a menu and movie rip, then attach the IFOs so someone can look at them.

This happens when I use the program Avi2Dvd to make a DVD + menu.
Here are the ifos from a test DVD made using a small .avi with Avi2Dvd.

The post command after the movie is illegal since there is no VMGM 1. You need it to Call the Root menu of the current VTS.

Change title 1's post command in PgcEdit to:

[30 08 00 00 01 83 00 00] 1 (CallSS) Call the VTSM Root menu of the current VTS, resume cell 1

Save.

Will pasting in

work for any single Title DVD with this error, or its just specific to the ifos I posted?

It will usually work, but every situation is different. Get PgcEdit and look in trace mode and you'll see what needs to be done. The command editor is fully featured and is very easy to use.

Just a point on your authoring package - any package which generated these IFOs is not worth a dime. Find something better.
