Converting a Title to 16:9

Hmm, the root menu thing from title 3 still doesn't work, despite the fact it's in the PGC. I will mess around with the menu thing, and see what happens.

Unfortunately I can't just burn to an RW to test because it's dual layer, so I have to shrink it first.

I am using TMPGEnc to add black bars to the extras, and I will just replace like I did the rest.

However, this just dawned on me. If I make the extra features automatically pan-and-scan, won't it apply that to title 1? If so, any way around it other than to mess with titlesets like before? That's just too much work that I can avoid.

No - any changes you make to the attributes applies to the whole domain. You had a working solution.

I am still puzzled as to how a commercial DVD can be wrong in this way, but I'll take your word for it.

Well, the original was 4:3 for everything. The movie was pan-and-scan.

I obtained a widescreen version, and converted to NTSC, and used that instead. But that messes up the special features.

The one you made was fine, but I wanted the moving menus... and couldn't figure out how to replace them. VobBlanker wouldn't let me, and overwriting just messed it up.

Would I have to re-do the buttons?

And it also had the same bug as per the stuff in titleset 3, "root menu" was greyed out in my software players. While I can press "title menu", not all my DVD players have that on the menus so I would prefer if that worked.

And I didn't really understand Goonix' method, it seemed like using for a purpose other than what I am doing.

Yes, the button commands would need to mirror the commands in the stuff I sent you earlier.

Do I use the second method? And that looks like a lot of messing around, given my luck I will probably mess it up worse.

Is there an easier way?
