Warning on ChapterEdit

For those who use ChapterEdit, bigotti5 has brought to my attention that it is no good for PAL DVDs as it writes the cell elapsed times in the navpacks based on NTSC frames per second.

Might be wise to steer clear of this if you are in PAL-land.

an additional note --

I had used benbryant's great guide to "merge" multiple titles into one, and used ChapterEdit to revise some chapter points.
Playback on the final burned dvd paused for a micro-second at each chapter point.

But, when I authored a chapterless dvd (using Quenc), and then used ChapterEdit to assign the chapter points, playback was flawless.

I don't have enough comparison tests to know if this is standard behavior or not, but I do remember seeing a couple of posts elsewhere that somebody had pauses in playback after using ChapterEdit.

Does anybody else see this happening?

The pause is most likely a non-seamless flag in the PGCs.

I've been offline for a few days, sorry to say.

May I ask, is there a solution for correcting the playback?

It just seemed so odd that all the chapter points glitched in the first project, even the original ones. but the other project had no playback pauses at all.

If there is no way to fix it, oh well, I just won't do that anymore

I would demux and remux using muxman after generating a celltimes.txt file.
