    Taking small clips from DVD.

First off I have no idea if this is in the right forum. If not, I do apologise and move to the appropriate forum.

What Im trying to do is take a small clip from a DVD movie. I've scoured the net and I'm having no luck. So what exactly do I need to do? I've used dvddecrypter and now I have vob files. Am I heading in the right direction? My current tools are Powerdvd, dvddecryptor, vdub and xmpeg. Do I have to convert the vobs to avi, mepg? If so how? Terribly confused....

in dvd shrink you have reauthor button, drag the file that you want to take a clip from to the left, then click on that set start and end frame and pick where you want to start and end

Thank you. That worked great actually. Now my second question would be... how do I make it playable on windows media player etc.? Divx? If so, again I do apologise, how?

if you burn back the file to hard drive ( not in iso, if ISo then Use VLC player to play) or you can use media player classic

DVD Shrink produces a DVD-Video. If your PC is able to play a DVD, it should be able to play the files. However, if you have created an ISO, you can use VLC to play it directly, or mount it with Daemon Tools in a virtual DVD drive, and play it with any DVD-Video player, such as Media Player Classic.
