PgcEdit 8.0 beta8 - seamless Joint

With beta 8 pgc checks (ticks) every cell except the cell where the LB would be. This is different behaviour than 7.4? This a bug?

I'm thinking I should untick all the ticked cells and tick the unchecked cell where I suspect the LB would be...

No, this is a reveral of the old way of thinking. Instead of calling something a layer break cell (which in many cases was not the layer break), the new designation is seamless joint (which is the reverse of what is authored at the layer break). Just tick the missing cell where the LB is. If you untick them, you will get nasty pauses at each cell boundary!

So tick the only unticked cell in the Title (effectivly checking them all). The box turns pink and the type flags = 10. STC (SCR) discontinuity (2) & Seamless playback joint (8). This sound right?

If the box is pink, there's a reason why. Is there a cell command at the layer break? You sometimes see one like a NOP - this is to run out the buffers.

To make the whole thing seamless, remove the NOP cell command at the LB. Do NOT remove cell commands associated with ARccOS titles or cell commands near the end of the movie (both of these are important to the DVD's navigation). NOP cell commands can be removed without worry though.

To know why the box is pink, just leave your mouse pointer over it. A tooltip explaining the problem should appear.
As blutach said, it might be caused by cell commands, but there are other reasons as well.

Good info that - will have to go back and investigate more - & thanks for the new functionality to PgcEdit in v8!
