Help! What's the next step?

Could someone please give me a hint as to what I need to do next to continue playing the movie?

After importing a VTS_01_1 .VOB for editing, 'Cut-Assistant' plays it until the slide-indicator reaches the end - and then the playback stops.

How do I get it to continue with the playback? I've read the guide and there's nothing there about what to do next to get the movie to continue playing.

you've only imported the first VOB, try importing all of them at once. better yet use something like VideoRedo or VobBlanker to do your cutting

I've tried VideoReDo Plus, but after playing okay for a minute or so it suddenly starts scrambling the video. They suggested I use their QuickStream Fix utility - but it didn't work.

As for VobBlanker, I've had about a dozen goes at trying to figure out how to work it so it cuts out the commercial breaks in DVD movies - but so far without success. And despite what some may like to tell you - there is no guide available anywhere which describes how to do this simple procedure. I think you have to first join a chapter of the local Free Masons before they'll let you in on this secret.

As for my question about 'Cut-Assistant' - it doesn't matter any more. It's a piece of crap software which has unusually poor controls for positioning your cutting starting points and ending points.

like most software, it will likely only split at keyframes (more specifically, at GOPs).

No, I think he means breaks in movies possibly taken from a DVD Recorder and converted to DVD Video format.
