to cut the dvd video with VOB

Hi, I have a typical question myaybye
I hope it will be much easier to answer it
I have DVD - video (five vob files)
it is a backup of videotape and I dont have the videotape no more
it is a family video - short clips.
I would like to cut it to the thematic clips.
What would be the best way? (method and soft)
I dont want to lose quality.

I tried woble , but how wil render them in right order?
they are disarranged into 5 VOB files

Bring them into the timeline one by one in the right order.Then EXPORT as MPEG2 Program.

Perhaps DVD Shrink in re-author mode will be nice and easy for you.

Unfortunately, Womble MVW-DVD cannot load properly all VOBs at once, and, IMO, adding them one at a time in the time line doesn't work, as there will be a slight pause in the sound at each joint.
You have to create manually a MBS file (a simple text file referring all VOB files) and load it in MVW instead of the VOBs. There is a little doc on the MBS file format in the help file.
But if you really don't like doing it yourself, you can also use PgcEdit with a little plugin I wrote to generate the MBS file automatically. You should install the plugin, then load your DVD in PgcEdit, select the main movie, and use Plugins -> Womble -> Create a MBS file for current Title domain.
