As far as I can tell, VTS 2 is never called. Therefore, I guess it's a protection.Comment

Don't worry too much! It's only a theoretical discussion about something you should never see (although you saw it already!) Those "unnamed titles" are very very rares!
Just remember that it is "legal but discouraged" (dixit mpucoder) to have a title without title number, and it is illegal to have a whole titleset made entirely of such unnamed titles. Your original DVD is therefore illegal!Comment

You mean illegal construction or illegal production??
Something else, the backup DVD as mentioned before plays flawlessly on standalone & software players, but can’t be opened using DVDShrink.
It opens easily using Nero Recode but the App. crashes when hit the backup button.
