At What Point Do I Use PGCedit

Usually I use VobBlanker to remove unwanted items, then I test run the Video_TS.ifo before burning. This one that I have done stops at a black screen and ceases play.

Would it be best to start PGCedit on the full ripped files, use Trace mode to go to my desired First Play and Save. Then use VobBlanker on these files to remove unwanted stuff?

Yes, you could use the Jump to PGC upon DVD insert function whenever you liked. It really doesn't matter.

You saying the project just stops in your software player? Weird.

I use PgcEdit myself to cut unwanted stuff. When finished, I run the set of files through FixVTS then onto shrink.

Yea, the sequence of Play is Intro, Warnings, Language Menu, Title Menu. I tried removing all of these one by one. All works ok and continues to the Main Menu untill I remove the Language Menu, then when I Play it I get the black screen and it closes. So I think that there is no default language to begin Play or something like that therefore it stops.

So I was thinking that if I make the Title Menu as First Play then what is before it doesn't matter. I want to keep the Menu that's why I'm asking.

Another question. After editing can I somehow remove the empty VTS_xx_y.VOB's. There's quite a few of them sometimes and it just looks cluttered.

Just use the "delete uncalled PGCs" under DVD in the tabs.

If this function does not delete them, then those dummy cells are needed for navigation. They are not played and take a minimum of room. To delete them is risky as the navigation can get screwed up.

EDIT: If the VTS is unplayed and is in the middle of the disk, you can remap the titles so they are at the end and run the delete uncalled PGCs again. It is part A of the guide.

After killing playback on a menus, agree to make it a dummy. Then run Tools - FixVTS (current domain) to get ridda the crap outa the VOB.

I still love FixVTS, even if it has vanished from RipIt4Me - it is soooo invaluable.

That's not necessary any more. The remapping of the VTSs (if necessary) is now integrated in Delete Uncalled PGCs, and is therefore fully automatic.
