Edit menu to start as "menu", not "chapters"

I have a DVD that I want to edit the behaviour of. When I play it in VLC, the menu opens, but it doesn't open at the "start" of the menu. It opens in the "chapters" section. If I click Main (highlighted, see attached pic) it goes to the menu proper, the one I would expect to load when I put the DVD in. I want to make it go to the proper menu first.

I figure I need to edit the .ifo files with Ifoedit or something similar, but I have no idea what I'm doing. If someone could point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it.
