What happened to the various guides?

I just registered to this forum to ask the following question: I have been using some excellent guides posted in Digital-Digest until a couple of days ago (I used the IFOedit guide then). But the guide to DVDshrink is also missing and the guide to VOBblanker is missing and the guide to Ripit4me is missing. I get redirected to another DD page whenever I try to get to one of these guides.

What have I missed? Have these excellent guides been moved to another page or have they been erased (and why?)? I made the mistake not to save them in my computer and now I miss them!

Thank you Locoeng (I did not know of these threads and Cynthia's guide will be very useful).

However, why was the guide on IFOedit deleted? I am referring to http://www.dvdr-digest.com/articles/18_4.html. Also the vobblanker guide is missing (http://www.dvdr-digest.com/articles/...ker_page1.html). If I recall, these guides have nothing to do with the other issue.
