PgcEdit - Audio Stream Attribute - ISO639 Language Code?

Hi folks,

Normally, to set an audio streams language code correctly, I would use the "Domain Attributes" feature in PgcEdit, and lookup the correct code via the "ISO639 language codes" button.

Can anyone tell me how I would correctly set one for Maya language, or as I can't find a code for Maya, how would I set it to Unspecified.

Apologies should I have not made this clear. I am referring to what the on screen display shows when the appropriate button is pressed on the DVD's remote, or similar in a software player.

Eg:
en = English
zh = Chinese
Etc...

How would I correctly set the code for Maya language or if that isn't possible, set it to unspecified, or whatever method is correct? Thank you.

According to wiki, there is no ISO639 code. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yucatec_Maya

Perhaps label it as Spanish? (es). It is just a label.

After reading that link and another Wiki article, I will indeed set it to Spanish (es). Just out of curiosity, I assume there is no method of setting it to "Unspecified".

Leave it unset (or perhaps enter an incorrect code - eg "ac") in that case Nucleus. The player should come up as Unspecified.

You cannot enter an incorrect code with PgcEdit! However, you can leave it blank.

Sure! But a blank code in PgcEdit is correct, and means unspecified.
(BTW, IfoEdit displays garbage for a blank code, but don't worry. It is perfectly legal to fill the code with zeroes.)

Cheers both for your time and the additional info. As mentioned I've settled for setting it to Spanish (es).

Referring to leaving it blank... I've noticed that if changing it to blank it always appears to retain the last set language code. Eg: I had it set to Spanish (es), then changed it to blank and re-saved. 3 software players and a hardware player still show Spanish. PgcEdit v7.4

Edit: Correction

Apologies for the bum info. After changing it to blank - from Spanish (es) and re-saving... Media Player Classic and Nero ShowTime still show it as Spanish. VLC player shows just "Audio Track 1". Standalone DVD player still shows "Spanish".

I guess this is just down to how each reads the blank attribute? Again both, cheers for your help, just thought I'd post this additional info.

You need to change it i the domain stream attributes.

And PgcEdit is now at version 8.1!!!!!

Thanks, Nucleus! It's good to know. IMO, keeping the last code is a little bug (except when playing a menu, where the language code is irrelevant.)

My old Sony displays most languages codes in decoded form (Spanish for "es"), but displays the codes it cannot translate as numbers (for example, 24946 for "ar", instead of Arabic.) It displays 0 for blank codes.
