Depends on what region you are in. PAL = Europe, Australia and parts of South America.

NTSC = North, Central and parts of South America, Japan and parts of Asia

But, PAL has better picture quality, if you have a multi-format player/TV.

And I am a fan of the Australian cricket team(and I told you that in a cricket thread).Probably the only Indian to be so. Gilly is my fav,not only as a cricketer;he is possibly the one with the greatest integrity amongst the present day cricketers.

Some find the increased playback speed of the PAL format disturbing and prefer the 'less' video quality of NTSC instead.

Can you really see the difference?

IMO, only the speedup of the audio is sometimes problematic. The music is a bit out of pitch (unless the pitch has been corrected when the movie has been translated to PAL - a relatively rare process.) But only good musicians can hear that.

It's tough to tell the difference unless you're listening to them side-by-side. Well it is for me anyway.
