Saw a post as to importing dvd text by title (the post went poof)
Uploaded testbed (Option got lost in all these changes)
    Dblclk on an entry --
The first entry in the file needs to be the Title Name
Subsequent lines are chapter names -- Have fun

added the ability to set Sony or Pioneer Genre (second lines) when in automated mode (Using preset pulldown list)

Hi FA, You most likely don't remember my post from #570. I appreciate your quick response and willingness to help me get to the root of my problem. Sorry I did not follow up in a timely manner, but as a weekend warrior, my family life takes precedence. My first instinct was that Recolor Bitmap Resources was acting up. After reading through this entire thread and flagging certain posts that pertained to what I was trying to accomplish, I came across a small comment that your program uses 32 bit color. I right clicked on my desktop/properties/settings and my color quality showed medium (16 bit). I reset it to 32 bit and created and added a menu with perfection. I have learned to check this setting every time just prior to hitting create and add. I have XP SP2 loaded. For some reason, this setting goes back to 16 bit about 25% of the time without me knowing it. I use a Fabulous program of a metallic nature in Merge mode to create my compilations. I thought you might be interested to know that Titlewriter works with compilations from a program other than squish. Your program really is fantastic and I have started spreading the word. Thanks!

              @FallenAngel
Thanks very much for new Testbed.
Now I can import Name of Title and Chapter from txt file like below.
It becomes very convinient when adding chapter to title which have many many chapters.
1)"Copy to ClipBoard" in Dvd Text Options/Macros of TitleWriter.
              2)Paste to text file.
3)Edit (remove part which is no need).
              4)Save text file.
5)"Import DVD Text Title Info From File" in Dvd Text Options/Macros of TitleWriter.
When I actually use, 1) is from old, 5) is to new which chapters is added, and edit(add) new chapter's Name in 3).

              Is this procedure is right?

By the way, the number of title seems to be incorrect, it is the number of chapters in previous title +1.

              Regards.

Oops -- How did I miss the Title Names being numbered by chapter
                Added option
Will copy Name info to clipboard for all title(with focus) entries (you still have to select a name entry in the title) in other words the same as the import file
Should save editing all the class crap away -- Oddly enough Notepad doesn't seen to like it though Wordpad does -- must tinker

The Main copy to clipboard was envisioned as a way to copy the whole DvdText segment data to the internet as an aid in my debugging.

PS There are sites out there that show chapter names for movies

                  Little Mermaid Error

I have Titlewriter v4.6 and it has worked flawlessly with every DVD I have tried except Disney's The Little Mermaid. The error I am getting is:

First I get the Microsoft error box asking if I want to report the error or not. Then, after I choose yes or no, I get the real error message:

The instruction at "0x5f801088" referenced memory at "0x00000004". The memory could not be "read". Click on OK to terminate the program.

What can I do to fix this or help you fix it? Thanks.

Thanks very much for new Testbed.

The number of title is fixed.

"Copy Selected Title Info to ClipBoard" is very convinient by easiness to edit. Thanks.
I understand using Wordpad is better as you say.

                    Do you mean like below?
It is shown by checking option "Create ... MOVIE Entry".

I Need to know what you have done to the dvd prior to TW
Did you use Squish or something else
Is it say Squished to Movie Only and you are readding orig menu
Or are you creating a Menu (with Make Menu)
Or are you "Fixing" a orig menu using Happyface

most likely its some drug induced dvd Navigation schema disney came up with
(I swear after studying Zathura that they spiked the water coolers)

for most of the above I need the ???.ifo files (pre TW (and post if TW says File Done))
The log would help (located in TWs Install directory)
zip and email to me at f.allen.angel->sbcglobal.net

Now I tried to import Japanese language.
But it seems not to be reflected correctly like below even if text or rtf(wordpad's file type).

I loaded AnyDVD and did a simple Windows Explorer file copy of all the DVD contents to my hard drive so it would be decrypted. I just checked and trailer advertisements weren't showing up, so I deleted the whole directory and recopied everything from the original DVD. Then the trailers played and TW worked fine. TW's log file showed that the first (bad) set of files came up to a total of 4638 MB, and the second copy resulted in 5183 MB, so the initial file copy was bad somehow. Sorry for wasting your time. I'm glad it wasn't TW; it is a great program!
