Open the compiliation in DVDShrink reauthor
Use start end on each title so they are a few frames long
And hit Backup -- to say a test folder (hopefully only a few Mb in size)
Zip up the test folder and EMail it to me at

I'm curious\baffled why TW won't accept dvdShrink reauthored output

after trying to do what u said it still leaves me with 4.1 GB of 2 dvd quality videos...i will try a way to upload them to sites like www.humyo.com & will let u know..cheers so much for the struggle...

fairenough -- thats flat out impossible
after you've moved titles to the left pane in dvdshrink -- Highlight a title (click on it)
Just above the left pane there is an icon 2 arrows 1 pointing left one right (right next to the red x)--Click on it
A Set Start end frames dialog will open
slide the bottom slider left (then use the arrows to refine) until total size is only a couple of meg
hit Ok
And do the same for the second title
then hit Backup --it should only take a few seconds

Note: I'm not after all the avi content just the ifo's and a couple of seconds of the titles to look at.

just did as you mentioned..did the frame set/end thing, then re-author in dvdshrink/backup, zipped the output folder and have just send it to you (size is approx. 4.1MB)...pls let me know once u get'em. cheers lots mate...

Aargh -- Its what I thought it was awhile ago when I asked for the filepath

You need to simplify filepaths (Filepath -- Defined Basically the whole path from the root dir on.
(Ex. C:\mystuff\movies\two movies\video_ts)

The DvdAuthor suite is "finicky" when it comes to filenames and full paths.
The '&' character is significant as a commandline command
So when the Xml parser hit that character it processed what was directly after it as a command (Not part of the filepath) And got very confused
TW detected the confusion and tossed up a screen showing the error (You could have just RClicked the screen and copied it -- then sent it to me)
DvdAuthor only likes filepaths that contain a-z,A-Z,_,i "space" characters

Essentially just rename the folder to say "My Movies"
TW Make Menu will then work

I'm going to add a filter to try to warn the user in upcoming ver about this Make Menu issue (this is the 3rd or 4th time its cropped up in one flavor or another)

This was probably also the problem with the dvdflick

BINGO !..it creates the menu but sadly i dont know where to go from there...im sure it has created the main menu but how do i add it to the already ready to burn DVD files ? yes i have noticed that alon with the audio_ts and video_ts another folder is created called titlewrite, whic i thin, contains the menu. but how can i add these titles to the DVD files in the video_ts folder ?...thank u so much....or...

shall i just copy/paste all the files which are in the folder "titlewriter" to the folder video_ts ?

The simpilist was just to hit -Create Menu and Add it - in Make Menu
Then when MakeMenu completes Tw takes over and adds it

Make Menu creates the menu -- and loads the "Add Menus to Compiliation Listbox"
TW main takes over and adds the menu to the compiliation (if Add it was requested it essentially pushes the Save Changes button)
or the user can replace all but the VMGM with menus of their own choice
Tw main can handle any menu any source (including readding The Orig menu after the compiliation has been run through DVDShrink (Using Dvdshrink Reauthor to remove Start credits,end credits, and unwanted streams) thereby Shrinking the amount of compression required to put it on one disk.

Click Help>>Titlewriter Help >> Add A menu (I hate to say this --But Duh)

NEVER!!! Its far far far from that simple
Never hand adjust anything in a compiliation -- Absolutely guarenteed the compiliation won't work after burning

Added DVDTEXT -- Support (Via Settings) to create dummy entry for Actor name

Added DVD_TEXT -- TW will import Actor name from database if dummy entry is present
This works for Pioneer DVD Jukes -- You can select either Genre or Actor for "Second line" on Menu
Untested on Sony Models (Pls Feedback)

Bugfix? -- Added Scrollbar for Windows DPI setting > 96(default)
(Make Menu & Simplify Menu Dialogs -- bottom of forms unreachable)

Tweak -- Make Menu -- Setup Menu -- Currently Active Subtitle will now be shown as highlighted in menu

Hello,
I wonder whether this thread is still active since the last post was July 2008.
Annyway, I use Telewriter to make simple menus when I backup re-authored titles with DVDShrink.
TitleWriter 4.72 doesn't work anymore. I get the following message

PgcEditPreview has encountered a problem and needs to close

Could it be related to the version 9.1 of PgcEdit?
I am on XP Pro SP2

PgcEdit is now on version 9.2 (and 9.3 will be released soon). Does the preview work with all other functions of PgcEdit?

Preview works fine in PgcEdit but not in TeleWriter.
Same erreur message after installing PgcEdit v9.2

PS: when I checked for new version in PgcEdit 9.1, it said that I had the latest version.
