    Free Authoring Software?

    I apologize for not searching before making this post. I only have my friends computer for a few days & he wants me to find a way to take a lot of video he has shot & turn it into a decent looking dvd with navigation.
    I need something that will let me make title screens, navigation menus etc.
    Also, Will the same program encode all the video into a format for DVD?

    So what's out there as far as free software that will let me get the job done?

      You could try GUI for DVDauthor.

      I don't use this myself but it's supposed to be very good as far as freebies normally go.

          uLead DVD Movie Factory, while not free, does have a 21 day unrestricted trial. Is three weeks long enough?
