Sony Vegas vs Final Cut Pro

Hi I am new to this forum.

I have a question in regards to editing video software.

I have just purchased sony vegas and now I am told that final cut pro would of been the better option.. As I am new to this game (video editing), I wonder if any of you can tell me which of the two is the easiest to learn and why.

Also any info on Sony Vegas online tutorials would be great..
