Titlewriter Menu error?

I'm trying to make a custom menu for an episodic dvd. I click Make Menu, make my changes (titles) and then click Create Menu And Add It. When I do that, I get the "windows encountered an error" box. Same thing happens when I try to preview it. I got it to work before but it's not happening now. Any ideas.

Is the crash after Make Menu but during Add Menu
(Try create menu -- then Add it in TW main)
Is the Log saying anything
Does any ???_0.vob files show up in your compiliation folder Video_TS
And what created the source? Squish or something else

the error happens when I click "Create Menu and Add it"
the error happens also when I click "Preview" or "Create"
this is after I click Make Menu

I'm trying to add the menu to files made from dvd shrink.

I doubt I can add anything to TW main since it errors when I click "create"
I am fairly new with titlewriter. I like the program but this baloney keeps happening.

I got the updated one and now I can preview it. However, when I click "Create menu and add it," I get a failure button. This prompt screen also pops up: http://i178.photobucket.com/albums/w...11/title-1.jpg

Okay -- I'm not sure DVDAuthor (this was probably your problem before) will accept that convoluted a path -- just install TW on C: (Or c:\program Files) -- Then create your desktop link.

A piece of advice -- Don't ever install any proggies in Documents and settings or in desktop -- Ms Windows gets wonky when shelled apps are called

This sucks. I moved it to program files and now I get the windows error button and the program shuts down.

It would crash if you didn't (Many folders/files missing).
If so it should not crash like that -- no reason for it.
You may not believe it at this point but the proggie is sound. Just processed 4 myself -- and I'm not hearing anything from the testers.

This tears it I'm creating an installer -- Should have done it awhile ago, and just kill off this unending ambiguity entirely.
And get everyone into a constant location.
Then bugs are either with the proggie or windows/computer

I dont know what I'm doing wrong. I unzipped it in the program files but I get the same problem. It used to work before so it's probably my computer. It's a cool program but I guess my comp is jacked up.

I'm seeing lost path errors on files I have to assume exist -- I think.
What may have been happening was that the user was installing tw in multiple directorys and the paths to various tools (stored in the registry) were being Lost (or pointing to deleted Installations) or TW's preset paths were being overriden by old user selections.
Installing In a single directory each and every update will fix that and eliminate subfiles not being found.
This simplifies debugging at my end as I Know/control the locations

Blu -- Not Rocket science in Windows -- Hah -- Updating registry entries (While still retaining valid paths to some user altered selections) matching against old versions of just certain file names installed in whilly nilly locations
the macros are getting deep very deep -- just about to stomp on all registry entries (and let the user reset their preferences) and be done with it.
