I have tried everything to do a backup of a movie, actually 2 newly purchased copies that I had to order in as the movie came out in 2002 and is not in the store.
First I tried to use Any Dvd Ripper and it went along until 75% and stopped indicating an error.
Second I tried Clone DVD and Any DVD and it went along again until 75% and cyclical redundancy error.
Third I tried DVDfabDecrypter using the latest version and checked off "ignore read errors and "detect mastering errors". The program stopped and indicated that there was need for their other program to be implemented and did I want to do it...the name started I believe with "Path.., in any event I clicked on OK and it started over again but got to almost the end and again the program stopped. The movie plays in both the better half and my external drives. Mine is a BenQ and hers a Sony and I have tried doing backups with both as mine has "Any Dvd" and hers does not and I tried using the DVDfabDecrypter and I know that it can't have Any DVD on the notebook. But as I said ...no luck at all.
I did notice that when I put the movie into DVDfabDecrypter that it went through the initial analysis and then the Movie flashed on the Screen and there were options there, one of which was Play, Other DVD's, Website??? I was not sure what that was all about as it has never happened to me before so I did exit that and got back to starting the DVDfab screen but it started and then stopped with an error.
I have also tried DVD Shrink and it will not work even with Any DVD running. When I used Shrink, I did no deep analysis and no quality settings.
The DVD's are brand new, no scratches ...one was bought in western Canada and the other in the East. I want to back them up for the teens Halloween Party as I don't want sticky candy fingers on the originals.
I have never encountered such a problem with a movie and don't understand what is happening?
The movie is Resident Evil, the First Movie Not the Apocalypse which was the second one done in 2004.
I hope experienced members will have some idea of what my problem is and a fix for it.
I thought that Any DVD Ripper would do anything??!! (latest version)
Thankyou
