Note, if the PGC you wish to jump to is in a TITLE, you must select the entry PGC of the title (if it is a multi PGC title).

Almost worked

Hi all.

Thanks for the response.

I tried that Jump thing & it almost worked.

There more than ONE cell in VTSM1 PGC18. I want to jump to Cell1 (animated start but no buttons yet) but I end up at Cell2 (where the buttons/links appear).

I got the right PGC but I dunno how to choose the specific cell.

Normally, a main menu will jump to cell 1 (the intro) if you have not already travelled thru it to another menu. When you do that, you often set a register (look for a condition with an AND in it) to find out which register is set.

Alternatively, do a Jump to PGC by only going to the PGC the first time, without travelling thru other menus.

Hi BluTach.

I'm still not sure what you meant.

The reason I got this mess in the 1st place is because I removed the actual "Choose Language" menu (the original 1st play) with VobBlanker.

Then I changed the 1st play Pre-command to:
1 (JumpSS) to VTSM 1, Root Menu (TTN 1)

The code is this I think:

Like I said before, the Root Menu (PGC1) is not where I want to go. I wanna go to PGC 18 Cell 1, both of which are in the same VTS.

So what do I need to change to go to PGC 18 Cell 1? It's in the same VTS as the Root Menu.

The way it stands now, I wold need more info - lots more. Easiest is to:

Restore your VobBlanker backup.
Run Jump to PGC

No, and neither do you. Follow the guide on the PgcEdit site to trace to PGC 18. It is a 30 second operation.

After you have run the Jump to PGC, you can blank to your heart's desire.

OK that worked but got problem with audio selection.

Original DVD got these audio listings:

English
Lang X
Lang Y
Lang Z
Commentary

Lang = Foreign audio I don't want

After tracing & setting 1st play as you instructed & worked, I stripped X+Y+Z with Vobblanker. So I just want English & commentary.

After stripping, I put it into PGCEdit to remove the dead buttons in the Languages page (I just NOP them). The Commentary is not on this menu, it's in Extras menu.

After saving the DVD in PGCEdit, I tested the Commentary button link & I just got the English track.

Hide the commentary button. In this case, the commentary button sets stream 4, either directly or via a GPRM, but stream 4 doesn't exist (with some progs, the stripped stream may be defined as None or 4, and you'd get silence - best if it doesn't exist). In this case, most players will play the first stream they find - i.e. stream 0, English.

Your player is performing normally.

At the moment I don't get silence if I click on the Commentary link. I just get the English track (0).

I stripped the foreign track completely so I'm only left with English (0) & Commentary (1).

So if I hide the Commentary link (you mean NOP it, right?), how can I activate the commentary track?

Yes, that is what I explained above. If you click on a non-existent track, you'll get track 0. And I see now what you are saying. You haven't stripped the commentary track (so don't hide the button!). Commentary should be 4, not 1. And all gprms that set the commentary should be set to 4.

OK that worked

Hi Blu.

That worked but because I did this to the movie's PGC Editor:

Audio VOB's Streams

0 0 [Used for English]
1 None [Used as for Commentary]

4 4 [Not in use]

Remember there are only 2 tracks for the movie.

When I the commentary tested in Media Player Classic, it works now but there's no description on under Audio (I just see a - i.e. a dash).

Also when I right click & go to Navigate > Audio, there's no node (a circle) next to commentary. You know what I meant, right?

Works YES but still technical it's still incomplete.

I get a message in PGCEdit sayin "there are 5 tracks but only 2 in use. Do you want to change audio streams to 2"?

Should I say YES? OR will it screw my DVD even more?

Do not reply yes immediately. Open Domain Stream Attributes, and copy the characteristics of stream 4 to stream 1. Accept the modifications. Open DSA again, but this time accept the offer to limit the # of streams to 2. Save.
