DVDFlick Rejects Video Clip

I hope someone may be able to help.

DVDFlick will not accept a video clip I have compiled.

It is avi format. There is a warning ' Video Clip .avi has no usable video track. It will not be added to the project'

Is there a way around this and is so how do I go about it?

Just to wind this up I have found that saving the avi video clip in windows movie maker converted the file to mp4 and this has been accepted by DVDFlick. I now move on to hopefully burner the DVD.

Thanks for interest if anyone has read my original post though I am not holding my breath from the lack of response so far.
