    Multiplexing out of sync.......

i have used DVD quick builder 2.27, to remux my ac3 and m2v files....

the audio/video seems out of sync.
as per ushuall, none at the start of the vob, and 2-3 seconds at the end of the vob.

    1)
i have done it as one large 4Gb vob..would this make a difference?

    2)
i read on this forum that even though it is out of sync on a computer, it plays fine on a stand alone player.
(im using Windvd 4) is this true?

    3)
would i be best off trying a nother multiplexer, ive read a bit about streamweaver..is it a better remux??

    please help..

    Sync problem

What setup do you have? (Capture device, capture source, etc.) What software are you using to capture? Is your capture device "A/V locked" (cap both audio and video, or just video)?
    Cheers!

        Sync on ripped video

I would suggest you use PVAStrumento on your mux'ed file (MPEG). It corrects missing frames and checks/corrects PTS values (Program Time Stamp). You use it to fix the timing as it demuxes the file into video and audio streams.

I've heard of files that play in sync on PC but out of sync on set-top player, but not the reverse. Have you tried out that theory yet?

Let me know if you need PVAStrumento. It's written by a genius in Germany named Wiljo Heinen. The app is insanely fast and seems to do a good job. It didn't totally correct my hardware sync problem, but it sounds like your problem is different than mine. It wouldn't hurt to give it a try.
        Cheers!
