    dvd overburning?

    is it possible to overburn a dvd, if it isnt why not?
    Intel Quad Q6600@3000
    water cooled
    2gb ram
    160gb 2xseagate sata raid 0
    gforce 8800GTS 512mb

    Technically, it should be possible (depends on your DVD burner drive and your DVD burning software).

    Note that some recordable DVDs have trouble even with normal burning if you burn to near the disc's capacity (eg. near 4.7 GB), especially with standalone players, so I would doubt that overburning, even if possible, would be of much use compatibility wise.

      i haven't had any luck with attemting to overburn with princo meda and using nero 5.5.10, not even 1 mb over, kind of makes u mad having to reencode a vob file again
