DVD TO DVD-R Help Please

I am very new so please take this into consideration. I am trying to copy a DVD 9 to a DVD-R. I understand that the dvd9 discs have more storage than a DVD-R and you cannot just copy the whole thing. Well I don't want to re-encode the movie because of time and quality issues. I have used DVD Decryptor and ripped the main movie to my hard drive. Then I used DVD to One and it gave me these contents from the movie monsters inc:

VIDEO_TS.BUP
VIDEO_TS.IFO
VTS_01_0.BUP
VTS_01_0.IFO
VTS_01_1.VOB
VTS_01_2.VOB
VTS_01_3.VOB
VTS_01_4.VOB

The total size of these files is 3.05 gb. Do I need to do anything else before burning or what? What burning software would you suggest? Thank you for your help! If I can get this to work I have many movies to trade if anyone is interested.

I think any DVD burning soft should do the trick.
Make sure you drag the files into video_ts folder(Usually created by the DVD burning tool when creating a DVD compilation)

Just burn those files under VIDEO_TS folder and not your root DVD drive and also copy AUDIO_TS folder as well and leave it empty

Before I start, but you can do it now.. I create a folder "MOVIENAME_BURN" that helps me to remember.. *G* Then withing that folder 2 other folders all in caps, named AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS. These will be used later when I burn as a click and drop thing. Then I use either DVD2ONE or DVD96COPY and point to the created VIDEO_TS foldr (notice all caps!!)

After that is done I select the DVD burning sofware (Nero 5.5.10.15a is what I have and use) and do a compliation for burning and click and drag the empty AUDIO_TS folder and the folder VIDEO_TS with those files in it over to the new compilation. Then BURN. If you use Nero you will see the burn size at the bottom of the sofware progarm.. and you are within limits to burn a DVD with what you said. (3.05 GB).

If you already have the files, either just create a folder during the burn called VIDEO_TS and place all those files in it then.. or create a folder now on you HD called c:\MOVIENAME_BURN\VIDEO_TS and cut and past those files into it or....just copy and paste.. but will take up twice the space on your hard drive if you are short of space..keep in mind. *S*

Just to add to your replys, I use Nero 5.5.10.7 and for simplicity I use the burning wizard. Works every time for me.
Select DVD
Select new DVD compilaton
Select Other DVD formats
Select DVD Video
Select Burn.
You will get a split screen. On the left you already have your AUDIO & VIDEO_TS folders created for you. On the right screen use the browser to select your files NOT THE FOLDER but the Vob, ifo, bup files etc and select them all and drag them into the VIDEO_TS folder on the left and press the burn button. If you get promted for a multisession recording select no Multisession and sit back and watch your DVD being burned. This should work with DVD+or-R as I have a dual format writer (Sony DW-U10A) and have never had a bad burn with either format.

About Audio_TS & Nero

I've noticed that on a lot of DVDs the Audio_TS folder is empty. Why is this, and what is the purpose of this folder?

I'm try to test rip some movies and shorten them. If I can fit the movie on a 4.7GB disc, is there any advantage to using DVD2One over Nero? I have Nero but I'm wondering why everyone else in this forum uses other software.
