When it starts up and you can choose System Config. or Browser press Triangle. Or look at your serial number on the back

i've sent 5 ps2's to this guy and he did an awesome job. i have installed about 25 mod chips in ps1's and wouldnt attempt a ps2. it is a serious mod.

if you want a chip try www.modchip.ca
they are not the cheapest but there are one of the best.

i have a sony dru500a and use recordnowmax. i use ritek media. i am going to try some different media because a few games freeze at times.98% of them work great.

Check out the forums at cdrom-guide.com. Everything you ever wanted to know about backing up your Playstation and XBox games is in their forums. Also there are many expert members with specific knowledge in the console backup topic that can answer your questions. There are also many links to reputable chip installers with premodded systems if you are interested.

I backup my PS2 DVD games using the Nero DVD copy wizard, and always burn the copies at 1x, it's as simple as that. Depending on the specific version of PS2 you have, it may be particular about the brand of DVD-R (as far as I know DVD+ doesn't work well for the PS2), so a quality media is important.

I got my premod from psx-tech.com if you care to check out that site feel free. I also concur with post that modchip.ca is a very reputable company.

                Hope this helps...
