unable to read disc

Help!!

can anyone help me because im recording dvds from either dvdshrink or authored through tmpencoder and they work fine on the harddrive but when burned to the disc they play then the ps2 says unable to read disc and the pc crashes.


im using a amd athlon 1700xp

393 mb ram
80gb harddisc

mat****a dvd-ram sw9581
nero 5.5.10.28

but tried other software and same problem

any help would be appreciated because ive got a set of coasters the size of my tv.

Have you tried playing any of your burned DVDs on a "regular" standalone DVD player hooked up to a television? They are probably fine - you probably have to install a "mod chip" into your PS2 in order for it to play burned DVDs...

yes i have and they freeze up but if i skip thru they work, its very erratic.
