    Which One Should I Buy?

    Hey everyone,
I am definitely going to purchase a dvd burner, primarily for "backing up" movies. I have a few questions and I would greatly appreciate some answers. 1) Which type of dvd burner should I buy? DVD+R/RW or DVD-R/RW or another type? 2) Which company makes the best burner? 3) What size dvd's are most movies on? Please, please, please (!) answer these questions for me. Thanks a lot.

Why not be able to burn all formats? I have a Sony DRX-500ulx that works great and burns any format except DVD-RAM. It burns any CD format also. If you want something cheaper, I recommend a +R/+RW burner. It is the lastest thing. My DVD player is a couple years old and it played a +RW just fine. I would say most DVD's are standard 4.7GB disks because most movies are under two hours long. You can create a 1:1 backup with most DVD's. This burner will not work with MAC.

Just a note: DVD+R costs more than DVD-R

      Take care!
