downloaded movies only play on pc

I have a few great quality movies downloaded I used Nero to record them, and then the DVD ONLY works in my pc, I tried 5 dvd players and none of them work? Any suggestions?

Me have the same problem, I'm new to this too. And when it only plays in my computer I only get video no audio. I'm trying Nerovision now to see if that works. But does anyone else who is now an expert but was once a newbie like us have any suggestions? There should be an indepth guide but there all for SVCD. I want DVD, that is why I bought a DVD burner.

I am scared that this was a waste of money if we can't burn movies and watch them.

1) Use "TMPGEnc" to convert the .AVI (DivX-compressed or otherwise) to compliant MPEG2-for-DVD format - Use "TMPGEnc's" DVD wizard/template to accomplish this

2) Use "TMPGEnc DVD Author" v.1.5.11.37 (a different program than "TMPGEnc) to easily create the required additional DVD files and structure (and chapters and a menu, if you wish). If your O/S is either Win2000 or WinXP, TMPGEnc DVD Author can also burn your DVD. Otherwise, use NERO (NOT NEROVision) to burn in "DVD-Video" mode

Will I have to make the DVD compressed or will it be fine for the standard 4.7 size dvd's?????

well, I know I sound like a complete idiot but it is a challenge just to turn this freaking thing on let alone have any clue what most of you are talking about, so forgive me for being a bit slow, my last question for you is that my files all say ATI at the end of them not AVI, can I still use your recommendation?? I appreciate your insight. If you ever have any Labor & Delivery questions I am sure I can answer those for you, haha, this is not my field.

Change the extender from ".ATI" to ".AVI" and try the procedures with one of the files...
