Using Data DVD vs. Video DVD Disks

After getting the contents of one of my DVDs to my hard drive using the DVD Decrypter Backup Guide (great guide, by the way), I want to burn it using Nero. In Japan, where I am spending the summer, blank DVD disks are sold as either Data DVD+R or Video DVD-R. Both are 4.7GB DVD disks. There are also DVD RAM disks. Since my burner works only with DVD+R/RW disks, my question is can I burn the resulting video files from the above guide onto a DVD+R *Data* disk? I`m also curious why this distinction, which I have not seen elsewhere, if anyone knows. With my best wishes.

Yes a regular DVD+R disc works fine for video. There is a special DVD-R version for encrypted video but you don't want that! Use regular data or general discs only.
